Introduction:
BioCentriq, a prominent contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in cell therapy, has signed a long-term lease agreement with National Business Parks for a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Princeton, New Jersey. This facility will become BioCentriq’s new headquarters and is set to receive a $12M capital investment for facility improvements, new equipment, and upgrades to business systems. This strategic move enhances BioCentriq’s position within the expanding cell therapy sector, boosting its capacity to deliver complete development, manufacturing, and quality control solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle for its clients.

Spanning around 60,000 sq. ft., this facility includes six (6) independent ISO 7 cleanrooms, outfitted with state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies such as advanced bioreactors, automated cell processing systems, and scalable production platforms.
The site operates in compliance with current GMP regulatory standards and industry best practices. Additionally, it offers 30,000 sq. ft. of expansion space to increase both clinical and commercial production capacity, positioning BioCentriq to meet the rising global demand for cutting-edge cell therapy solutions.
The Newark facility, which includes two (2) independent ISO 7 cleanrooms, a fully integrated quality control laboratory, and robust support infrastructure, continues to serve as a clinical GMP production center.
It also acts as a central hub for specialized training and workforce development for pharmaceutical and biotech innovators, as well as service providers.
The expansion is expected to be completed by 2025.
