The facility will be the eighth in Colorcon's global network.
It will focus on producing high-quality and innovative film coating products for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers in the Southeast Asia region, including Australia and New Zealand.
The investment aims to strengthen Colorcon's strategy of positioning facilities close to customers and supporting the projected growth in the region.
The new plant will reduce delivery lead times, improve sustainability, and enhance the assurance of supply for customers in the region.
It will ensure the quality and equivalency of products manufactured across Colorcon's global manufacturing locations.
The investment demonstrates Colorcon's commitment to customer satisfaction, convenience, and the resilience of the supply chain in Southeast Asia.
The local manufacturing will improve flexibility in production scheduling, resulting in higher efficiency for customers.
Colorcon currently operates 11 manufacturing facilities, 25 technical service laboratories globally, and has over 1400 employees dedicated to serving its customer base.
Construction of the plant will begin in August 2023, and completion is expected by July 2025.
