Cytiva invests US$15.8 to expand its facility for manufacturing high-tech medical instruments. The facility will be located in Umea, Europe.
The expansion project, valued at $15.8 million, will add an additional 5,000 square metres to the existing site. The current site consists of 25,000 square metres.
The new facility specialises in the production of scalable medical instruments, catering to customers worldwide, and covers a total area of 25,000 m², with 60 percent dedicated to production activities.
The increased space allows for more efficient production and improved working conditions. This means that the manufacturing processes are now more streamlined and efficient, resulting in improved productivity and reduced operational costs.
The expansion not only enhances the facility's capacity but also provides an improved working environment. The implementation of new production lines, automation, and a redesigned layout, enables for optimised production flow throughout the site.
