Orano Med invests $5 Million to Expand R&D Centre in Texas

Introduction:

Orano Med, a branch of the Orano Group focused on radioligand cancer therapies, has revealed plans to expand its primary R&D facility in Plano, Texas, backed by an investment exceeding $5 million.

Features:

The expansion has added approximately 11,000 square feet to the existing site, marking a 50% increase in total space.

This includes 5,000 square feet of new laboratory areas to support research activities and double the production capacity for early-stage clinical trial supplies under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

In addition, 5,500 square feet of new office space has been built to accommodate the growing workforce, which has doubled in size over the past four years.

The upgraded facility supports the full preclinical development cycle, including in vivo studies and Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls (CMC) processes.

This centre also acts as a production site for lead-212-based drug candidates used in early clinical trials across the United States. It supports both in-house programmes and collaborative projects with other biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
