Piramal Pharma Invests $90 Million to Expand U.S. Manufacturing Facilities
Introduction:
Piramal Pharma Solutions is investing $90 million to expand two U.S. facilities, aimed at boosting manufacturing capacity and improving operational efficiency. This move supports the company’s integrated antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) platform, ADCelerate™, and addresses the growing demand for sterile injectables and ADC therapies.
Features:
The Riverview, Michigan site will gain a commercial-scale suite for the development and production of payload-linkers used in high-potency ADCs.
Meanwhile, the Lexington, Kentucky site will add 24,000 square feet of manufacturing space, a new lab, and modern equipment including a filling line and lyophilizers.
Once completed in late 2027, the Lexington facility will more than double its batch production capacity from 104 to over 240 per year.
The expansion also supports U.S.-based manufacturing and will create 40 new full-time jobs in Lexington, contributing to the local economy and strengthening supply chain resilience.
