Samsung Biologics to Start Construction of a New US$ 1billion Manufacturing Plant

Samsung Biologics has announced that it will invest US$1 billion in the construction of its manufacturing plant at the Songdo site in South Korea.
Features:
Plant 5 is the newest addition to the Samsung Biologic family, and it will serve as the foundation for the company's second Bio Campus.
The facility is set to be a large one, measuring 96,000 square metres, which is equivalent to 1,033,335 square feet. It will have a storage capacity of 180,000 litres of product, making it an ideal size and shape for a number of different industrial applications.
Plant 5 is expected to be completed in the near future, and when it is, the CDMO will be able to produce 784,000 litres of product per day.
The new facility is set to increase operational efficiency, introducing a range of advanced digital and sustainable features.
The new plant's operations are anticipated to begin in 2025.
