Jean-Marie Cuillerot

Domain Therapeutics has appointed Dr. Jean-Marie Cuillerot, a Boston-based pharmaceutical leader, as its new Chief Medical Officer at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. 

Dr. Cuillerot brings extensive experience in clinical development, regulatory strategy, and oncology innovation, underscored by a career spanning major pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Cuillerot served as the medical lead at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he oversaw lifecycle management of ipilimumab, the first immune checkpoint inhibitor approved for cancer. He led pivotal Phase II and III clinical trials across multiple tumor types and supported U.S. and European regulatory submissions that helped establish the therapy’s global impact.

He later joined EMD Serono, an affiliate of Merck Serono, holding senior roles including Global Head of Clinical Development in Immuno-Oncology and Vice President of Clinical Immunotherapy/Immuno-Oncology. In these positions, he directed the rapid development of avelumab from pre-IND to global filings, achieving record timelines that earned him the prestigious Merck CEO Award.

In recent years, Dr. Cuillerot served as Chief Medical Officer at Acrivon Therapeutics, Dragonfly Therapeutics, and Agenus, where his leadership consistently advanced innovative therapies through early clinical development toward significant regulatory milestones.

Dr. Cuillerot joins Domain as the company accelerates the clinical advancement of its GPCR-targeted pipeline, including its ongoing Phase I/II DOMISOL trial for DT-7012, a Treg-depleting anti-CCR8 monoclonal antibody. He will play a central role in guiding DT-7012’s development while shaping the trajectory of additional programs such as DT-9081 and DT-9046. His strategic and clinical insight will support Domain’s next phase of growth and value creation.
