Dr. Aran Maree
TORL BioTherapeutics has appointed Aran Maree as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member as part of a broader leadership evolution aimed at supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
Dr. Maree succeeds Mark Alles, who will continue to support the clinical-stage oncology biotechnology company as Chairman of the Board.
Dr. Maree joined TORL in October 2024 as Chief Medical Officer and has since played a key role in advancing the company’s oncology pipeline. He led the clinical progress of TORL’s first-in-class Claudin 6 (CLDN6)-targeted antibody drug conjugate, ixotatug vedotin (Ixo-V; TORL-1-23), including accelerating global enrollment in the Phase 2 CATALINA-2 study for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer and expanding the program into additional clinical indications.
Working closely with discovery collaborators at University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Maree also helped advance several Investigational New Drug applications across TORL’s broader pipeline, including the company’s first hematology-focused therapy, which has now entered Phase 1 development.
The leadership transition is part of TORL’s strategy to strengthen governance and operational readiness as the company moves toward later-stage clinical development and potential commercialization. Earlier in 2026, TORL expanded its executive leadership team with several key appointments, including Christine Loggins as Chief Operating Officer, Steve Ritland as Chief Scientific Officer, and Vince Ruiz as General Counsel.
To date, TORL BioTherapeutics has raised more than US$450 million from global biotechnology investors and continues to advance a growing oncology pipeline targeting both solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.
