Michael Goettler

Knoa Pharma has appointed Michael Goettler as President and Chief Executive Officer.
He will also join the company's Board as its fifth member. Founded on May 1, 2026, Knoa Pharma is focused on addressing the opioid crisis by developing and distributing opioid analgesic medicines through responsible practices that help reduce the risk of diversion.

Goettler brings extensive executive leadership experience in the global pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of building and expanding innovative healthcare businesses. His expertise spans commercial operations, research and development, medical affairs, and global market strategy, positioning him to lead Knoa Pharma through its next stage of growth.

Before joining Knoa Pharma, Goettler served as Chief Executive Officer of Viatris, where he oversaw the company's global healthcare operations. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at Sanofi and Pfizer, gaining broad experience across multiple therapeutic areas and international markets.

In addition to his executive roles, Goettler has advised organizations throughout the pharmaceutical industry and has worked extensively across the United States, Europe, and Asia. His international leadership experience has provided him with deep expertise in organizational strategy, business transformation, and corporate governance.

Goettler holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Texas at Austin and a graduate degree from Koblenz School of Corporate Management.

His appointment reflects Knoa Pharma's commitment to building a strong leadership team as it advances its public health mission of improving the safe and responsible use of opioid medicines while helping address one of the healthcare industry's most pressing challenges.
