Rob Goodwin
Parexel, a leading global clinical research organization (CRO) delivering insights-driven clinical and consulting solutions for the life sciences industry, has appointed Rob Goodwin as its Chief Operating Officer (COO).
His extensive background in operational excellence, quality, and strategic leadership will strengthen Parexel’s mission to drive customer value and accelerate the development of life-changing treatments.
In his new role, Mr. Goodwin will report to CEO Peyton Howell and oversee the company’s core clinical functions, including project management, clinical and data operations, early-phase clinical units, real-world research, and the operational excellence office. His leadership team will include Teri Karcher, President, Global Project Leadership and Launch Excellence; Amy Kissam-Sands, President, Operational Excellence, Delivery and Innovation; and Deb Tatton, President, Global Clinical & Data Operations.
Bringing nearly 30 years of experience in biopharmaceutical clinical development, Mr. Goodwin most recently served as Senior Vice President, Clinical Development and Operations at Pfizer, where he oversaw global clinical development and operational capabilities for Phase I–IV studies and post-marketing research.
During his 27-year tenure at Pfizer, he held multiple senior roles, including Vice President, Operations Center of Excellence, Vice President, Safety Evaluation and Reporting / Pharmacovigilance Operations, and Vice President, Operational Excellence and Business Innovation. Earlier in his career, he contributed to the Electronic Data Capture program at Bayer.
Mr. Goodwin holds degrees from Eastern Connecticut State University, Southern Connecticut State University, and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
