Randy J Seeley

Dr. Seeley is the Henry K. Ransom Endowed Professor of Surgery at the University of Michigan School of Medicine and director of the NIH-funded Michigan Nutrition Obesity Research Center. His research focuses on the gut-brain axis and its role in energy balance and metabolism, with an emphasis on developing new therapeutic strategies for obesity and diabetes.

With more than 400 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Seeley has made significant contributions to the understanding of metabolic disease. His accolades include the 2009 Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award from the American Diabetes Association.
