Robert J. Spiegel

Ernexa Therapeutics, a biotechnology company developing novel cell therapies for advanced cancers, has appointed Robert J. Spiegel, M.D., FACP, to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Spiegel brings decades of experience in oncology, clinical drug development, regulatory strategy and pharmaceutical leadership. His career spans senior roles in the biopharmaceutical industry, academic medicine and consulting, with a focus on advancing innovative therapies through clinical development and regulatory processes.

Spiegel spent more than 25 years at Schering-Plough Research Institute, where he held positions of increasing responsibility and ultimately served as Chief Medical Officer from 1998 to 2009. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience in clinical development, medical strategy and pharmaceutical research.

From 2014 to 2016, Spiegel served as Chief Medical Officer of PTC Therapeutics, contributing to the company’s clinical and pharmaceutical development activities.

In addition to his industry leadership, Spiegel is the Founder and Principal of Spiegel Consulting LLC, where he provides expertise to organizations in the biopharmaceutical sector. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, maintaining an active role in academic medicine.

Spiegel’s appointment adds extensive experience in oncology drug development, regulatory affairs and biopharmaceutical leadership to Ernexa Therapeutics’ Board of Directors. His expertise is expected to support the company as it advances its cell therapy pipeline and develops potential treatments for patients with advanced cancers.
