Chandra Kelley
GBI Biomanufacturing, a leading biologics Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), has appointed Chandra Kelley as Chief Business Officer (CBO).
In her new role, Kelley will oversee the company’s commercial strategy, business development operations, client engagement initiatives, and long-term growth plans as GBI continues to expand its service offerings and market presence.
Kelley brings more than 25 years of experience in the biotechnology and biopharmaceutical industries, with deep expertise in commercial leadership, strategic partnerships, and customer-focused growth strategies. Throughout her career, she has successfully built and scaled commercial organizations while supporting the development and manufacturing needs of biopharmaceutical companies. Prior to joining GBI, she held senior commercial leadership positions at KBI Biopharma, Pfanstiehl, and SAFC.
As Chief Business Officer, Kelley will focus on strengthening GBI’s customer relationships, expanding its client base, enhancing strategic collaborations, and optimizing proposal and project evaluation processes. She will also work closely with operational teams to align commercial objectives with manufacturing capabilities and support the company’s long-term growth strategy.
GBI Biomanufacturing has more than three decades of experience providing integrated biologics development and manufacturing services. The company supports a wide range of biologic modalities, including protein therapeutics, bioconjugates, exosomes, and stem cell therapies, through a unified cGMP and regulatory framework that enables seamless progression from early-stage development to commercialization.
The company offers end-to-end capabilities spanning cell line development through drug product fill-finish services. Its manufacturing infrastructure includes multiple single-use bioreactor platforms ranging from 50-liter to 2,000-liter fed-batch systems, as well as perfusion-based manufacturing technologies. GBI’s in-house fill-finish capabilities further support efficient development and manufacturing workflows by enabling drug substance and drug product production under one roof.
