FairJourney Biologics S.A. (FJBio), a global leader in antibody discovery and development, has appointed Dr. Werner Lanthaler as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to advance the company’s vision of becoming a fully integrated powerhouse in efficient antibody discovery and development.
Following nearly 14 years of leadership, Founder António Parada will transition to the Supervisory Board, where he will focus on steering FJBio’s long-term innovation strategy.
Dr. Lanthaler is a highly respected figure in the biopharmaceutical industry, recognized for his expertise in driving innovation, transformation, and sustainable growth. Before joining FJBio, he served as CEO of Evotec SE for 15 years, where he transformed the company into a global frontrunner in drug discovery and precision medicine.
His strategic leadership and focus on partnerships helped position Evotec as a trusted collaborator for pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic institutions worldwide.
Before his tenure at Evotec, Dr. Lanthaler served as Chief Financial Officer at Intercell, where he successfully led the company’s IPO and the market launch of its vaccines, demonstrating his ability to align scientific excellence with business success.
With his deep experience in biotechnology innovation and global partnerships, Dr. Lanthaler’s appointment signals a new chapter for FairJourney Biologics, as the company continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its position as a preferred partner for end-to-end antibody discovery and development solutions.
