Andrew Smith
Medicus Pharma Ltd. (“Medicus” or the “Company”) has appointed Andrew Smith as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Bringing more than 30 years of expertise, Andrew is a seasoned C-suite executive with a proven track record in asset management and financial operations. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive of SR Asset Management (SRAM) until its successful sale in 2024. Prior to joining SRAM in 2017, he was Co-Head of Americas and Chief Operating Officer at Aberdeen Asset Management Inc., where he also held key positions including Chief Compliance Officer for Aberdeen’s North American Closed-End Funds, as well as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Americas region.
In addition to his corporate leadership roles, Andrew currently serves on the board of HazelTree Fund Services and acts as an advisor to Code Registry.
Andrew holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and an HND in Accounting from Glasgow College of Commerce, Scotland.
