Roche has appointed Nina Schwab-Hautzinger as Head of Group Communications and a member of the enlarged Corporate Executive Committee.

Nina Schwab-Hautzinger returns to Roche after serving as Head of Corporate Communications and Government Relations at BASF, where she played a key role in shaping the company’s global communications strategy and stakeholder engagement.

During her earlier thirteen-year tenure at Roche, Nina held several influential leadership positions, including Head of Corporate Brand & Communications at the Group level and Head of Communications & Public Affairs for Roche Pharma in Germany. Her global perspective and expertise were further enriched through her leadership of the healthcare practice at a strategic communications consultancy in Singapore.

Nina’s strong academic foundation includes studies at the University of Mannheim (Germany) and the University of Waterloo (Canada). She also earned a doctorate in Communication and Media Research from the University of Zurich (Switzerland).

Her appointment reflects Roche’s continued focus on strengthening its corporate communications and global reputation management, ensuring alignment between its scientific innovation, business priorities, and public engagement. With her extensive experience across the healthcare and corporate sectors, Nina Schwab-Hautzinger is poised to enhance Roche’s strategic communications and reinforce the company’s leadership in the global healthcare landscape.
