Vistagen, a late clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advancing neuroscience through its nose-to-brain neurocircuitry platform, has appointed Nick Tressler as Chief Financial Officer. Vistagen is developing and commercializing a novel class of intranasal product candidates known as pherines, designed to modulate brain pathways without systemic exposure.

Mr. Tressler brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience in the life sciences sector, with a strong track record of guiding companies through periods of growth, transformation, and strategic execution. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of DYNEX Technologies. Prior to that, he held CFO roles at American Gene Technologies International and Senseonics Holdings, Inc., a publicly listed medical technology company.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Tressler held senior finance positions at several established biopharmaceutical organizations, including Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Mallinckrodt in 2018, and MedImmune LLC, which was acquired by AstraZeneca in 2007. Across these roles, he developed deep expertise in financial strategy, capital planning, operational scaling, and supporting late-stage clinical and commercial transitions.

Mr. Tressler holds an MBA from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, Robert H. Smith School of Business.

In connection with his appointment, Vistagen’s Board of Directors approved an inducement equity award in accordance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4). Mr. Tressler was granted an option to purchase up to 150,000 shares of Vistagen’s common stock, with an exercise price equal to the company’s closing stock price on December 1, 2025. The option will vest over time, supporting long-term alignment with shareholder value as Vistagen advances its clinical pipeline.
