Dr. Thilo Pohle

SynGenSys, a biotechnology company developing synthetic gene promoter systems for biopharma manufacturing and cell and gene therapy applications, has announced several key leadership appointments to strengthen its commercial and scientific capabilities.

The newly created roles are intended to support the company’s continued growth, accelerate commercial expansion, and strengthen alignment between customer needs, product development, scientific innovation, and external partnerships.

Among the appointments, Dr. Thilo Pohle has been named Head of Commercial. In this role, he will lead the commercialization and industry adoption of SynGenSys’ synthetic promoter and signal peptide technologies, while overseeing customer engagement, partnerships, and licensing activities. Dr. Pohle brings extensive expertise in recombinant AAV manufacturing, protein production, and promoter engineering. Since joining SynGenSys as a DNA Engineer following completion of his Ph.D. at the University of Sheffield, he has played an increasingly important role in shaping the company’s commercial and market strategy.
