PMV Pharmaceuticals Appoints Philip Herman as Chief Commercial Officer

PMV Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a precision oncology company focused on developing small molecule therapies targeting p53, has appointed Philip Herman as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

In his new role, Herman will lead the company’s commercial strategy and launch preparation for rezatapopt, a first-in-class p53 reactivator.

PMV Pharma anticipates submitting a New Drug Application (NDA) to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for accelerated approval of rezatapopt in patients with platinum-resistant or refractory ovarian cancer in the first quarter of 2027.

Herman brings more than 24 years of experience in building and scaling commercial organizations and launching innovative therapies. Before joining PMV Pharmaceuticals, he served as Chief Commercial and Portfolio Development Officer at Repare Therapeutics, where he was responsible for global commercial strategy and portfolio prioritization across the company’s precision oncology pipeline.

Previously, Herman served as Chief Commercial Officer at Y-mAbs Therapeutics. During his tenure, he led the commercial launch of DANYELZA (naxitamab), a therapy used in pediatric oncology, while also establishing the company’s commercial organization.

Earlier in his career, Herman held commercial leadership positions at Santhera Pharmaceuticals, Dyax, Vanda Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer. His experience spans commercial strategy, product launches and business development across oncology and rare disease treatments.

As CCO, Herman will support PMV Pharma’s efforts to prepare for the potential commercialization of rezatapopt and advance the company’s broader commercial strategy. His appointment comes as the company progresses toward its anticipated regulatory submission for the investigational therapy.

Herman holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
